misfitkid
hello all! i recently purchased an nzxt phantom 820 case, as it stands i've installed the corsair h100i on the top mounted below the 200mm fan, it's currently an intake with the fans mounted to the bottom of the rad. question is: should i move the fans above the rad, or switch the direction to an exhaust? i just would like to know ideal position for mounting the rad to my case, need good cooling after all! peanutz94
There really is no "right" answer to your question. All you can do is try it both ways and see what config produces the best temps. Performance will differ from case to case and components used in the build. I can tell you that if you have a 200mm fan o tip of the two 120's that the cooler came with , your probably better off removing the 200mm fan so the cooler can can breath. Air coming from the two 120mm fans will be moving much faster than what the 200mm fan will and will cause a restriction in the air moving through the radiator.. madmecca1975
Hello just thought I would add a bit I have tried what peanuts94 said about the fans as I had 2 200 fans above my radiator swapped them for my spare corsair fans I had 2 120 and the change in temps was minimal about 1c down on CPU and h100i but 1c up on my graphics cards.
