H80i LED Permanently stuck on Green?

Hi Support,

Recently I uninstalled CorsairLink and connected my fans to Motherboard headers due to a cable replacement for the fans. Once I received a replacement cable and reinstalled CorsairLink (was running 2.2.0, Updated to 2.3.4816) and now my LED is permanently stuck on green.

Before I uninstalled the software I never set the LED back to default (white) and now it wont change colour at all despite the different modes (normal, temperature and cycle).

Should I downgrade back to 2.2.0 to see if it fixes it and if so where can I download it?

Yes I updated to the latest firmware a couple of weeks ago and it was working but it won't now. Control panel is the only way to set it I assume and it hasn't done anything.

The weird thing is the when I was on 2.2.0 it was working fine but because I didn't reset it before uninstalling and updating it wont change. Surely the LED cant fry due to this?

Update: I just downgraded my CorsairLink software back to 2.2.0 with no luck unfortunately. Does this mean that my LED's have fried?

LEDs stuck on green is a frequent occurrence. Mine do this when paired with the cooler block. Paired with the CPU, they are responsive. Manual and cycling are responsive, too. That you've been changing between versions, you might try nuking your Corsair profiles. Could be munged.

Under options tab in the UI, make sure to delete all existing profiles under Profiles section, then click on "Restart to Default". Uninstall the SW then shut down the system, unplug the USB header from the MB and try a different port. Turn on the system and re install 2.3 SW, then flash the unit again to 1.05 FW. See if this process helps.

Hey support,

Sorry I haven't posted in while, I have been really busy. I tried changing the USB/Motherboard connector, Updating to v1.07 firmware and updated to new CorsairLink Software and nothing has changed.

I also noticed it says I only have 1 LED channel available in the options.

This is what is displayed in CorsairLink v2.4 Beta.

(CorsairLink isn't detecting the LED now, This is what was happening.)

Also when I tried changing the USB port, I decided to change the ports where the fans connected to it, Maybe it might fix it. When I take the 'Y' cable out the whole fan header came out with it!? I have rarely had a problem with Corsair products but this thing looks as if it could fall apart any second.

As much as I want to RMA the product, I don't have another cooler to use in the mean time. Any ideas on what I can do other then buying a whole new cooler?

Also I was thinking of upgrading to a H100i, However I am not sure if my current case will support it without modding. I have a 200R Carbide w/ 2x AF120 fans. Since their is little to no airflow in the front panel, I have to use 2x SP120L fans to get a decent amount (despite the noise).

Also I'm from outside the US (Australia), So It would be way to expensive for me to send the cooler directly to US (about $100 - $150 postage).

You can request an advanced RMA which will require a valid CC by calling customer service via phone/Skype.

An advanced RMA means Corsair will send you a replacement unit first, then you send your cooler back. Your CC will only be charged if they have not received your unit in a given time.

The nearest RMA hub for Australia is Hong Kong. You can also call customer service via Skype using their toll-free number (listed on their website).

Hi Toasted,

Thanks for the assistance. I was wondering that if Corsair decide the cooler was faulty, Instead of replacing it can they could send me a H100i instead (including paying the remaining price for it)?

Also what is a CC? Is that the products serial number and if so how can I find it? Also I plan on upgrading to a 600TM from my 200R, Can that case support dual push and pull fans w/ H100i?

Also is it possible for Corsair to arrange a courier to pick up the cooler? Maybe if he gives me a replacement I give me the broken unit?

They usually replace the unit with what was sent in.

Contact customer service and ask if its possible to upgrade it to a H100i or assist in shipping.

You can contact them via Skype by calling their toll-free number. (listed on the website)

CC= Credit Card.
