BigDaddyShane
just trying to see if I can get some help here about my H100 that gives me tems of 39c on idle on my NON overclocked i5 3570K and also the fans speeds do not change when I change profiles at all Any advice at all would be appreciated
Bryman
Are you looking at processor temp or water temp? As long as water is below or around 30C then your fine if its getting above 35C and the temp in room is around 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit then you might want to increase speeds
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 28, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 28, 2013 Where are you getting this reading? BIOS or some temp monitoring app? Compare the two, check your BIOS CPU temp and see if they are consistent with the app that you are using. Check the pump speed as well in the BIOS and see if its running around 2200rpm. 39°C is still within range, if you have this cooler for a while now, check the radiator for dust, try to clean them up to clear the air flow from the fans. Bryman
also make sure you are putting the exhaust into the case...it will keep it about 10C cooler...39C idle is normal...as long as its CPU temp and not H100 temp...just dont let it go above 105C where it turns off computer like i did :( 1.42 volts = instant 110-115C on prime 95 where it doesnt even have time to throttle so it just shuts off computer for safety...anyways 39C idle is completely normal :P oh sorry i5 throttling temp is 100C :P

I am getting the reading on the Bios.. as this is a new build I havent downloaded a temp monitoring app. I believe the pump speed is 2200 rpm last time I checked. This radiator is a new install. No dust on the fans.. I also had an issue where it seems that the fan speed does not change when I change profiles. The LED changes but the fan speed does not.. I am going to try and apply some Arctic Silver paste. I have the fans set up as an exhaust blowing are OUT of the 500r.. Radiator in the top of the case and fans underneath pushing are out.. Should I set it up the other way with the fans at the top radiator underneath in the case and pulling are INTO the case ??
Bryman
ok so theres 2 options have exhaust blowing OUT of the CASE and have the case cooler but have the processor about 10C warmer or have exhaust blowing IN the CASE where it makes the case SLIGHTLY warmer...but makes the processor about 10C cooler... just 2 options
BigDaddyShane
since i have the 500r case and two front fans and one side fan blowing in I felt it was best to set the h100 to blow the air out past the radiator..
