Pipdrums
H80i w/latest LINK2 software running. I've set up the LED mode to Temperature, (blue @30C, green @45C and red @60C) but the LED stays at blue despite the temps reaching above 60C when running OCCT - see screenshots. Other than this, the H80i and Link software work fine. I can set, save and load different profiles with corresponding fan speeds. Am I missing something? Anyone else having this problem? Any help greatly appreciated. Regards.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 28, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 28, 2013 Looks like you have the LED grouped under H80i temp which is coolant temp. If you you notice the your coolant temp is only at 29°C which is still below 30°C where you have it set at Blue. Change the group under your CPU, that way the LED changes based on the CPU temp and not the coolant temp.
Antiquated
H100i here, same issue. Set the temps, and the LED's always stay the coolest color. No other issue as of yet, system less than 24hrs old. Glad I looked as to why
Antiquated
OK, tried that .. didn't work. Here is what did work for me. After tinkering with the numbers I hit the TAB key to change fields, I had been using my mouse, as soon as I used the TAB key it enabled the current color scheme changing actively with my temps. Hope this helps someone :)
Speed
Tab doesn't work here. LED stays dull teal when it should be yellow with the temps I have set. Colors do go the full range in manual and cycling but temps are dead when paired with the h100i cooler block. Pair them with the CPU and they're responsive. Pipdrums
Hi Mr. Ram Guy. Many thanks for the info re 'groups'. I still couldn't get it to work until I upgraded the firmware to 1.05, set the LED under CPU group and now it's all working. Everything is very much quieter, too. Antiquated
Well now I am not sure what makes it work and not... Seems that sometimes I will go in, no led, no led changing with temp, no temp on pump, no pump speed etc... sometimes a reboot, sometimes changing the setting from C to F. When it stays working I like the feature. Worries me that sometimes no pump, fan or temp is listed at all. This is a complete new build and I am moving from the XP os finally. Alot of new drivers and apps running, that I have not used before so still trying to nail this down :)
wytnyt
some of your problems may be related to using multiple monitoring programs which can interfere ive even seen instances where programs installed on the computer and not running can still affect things

Alot of new drivers and apps running, that I have not used before so still trying to nail this down :) Which version of the Link software are you running and more importantly, have you updated the firmware to the latest version which is v1.05.s19. The firmware update on my H80i solved my problems and now everything is working fine. You can quickly check which versions you have via the Options-Devices tabs in the Corsair window - see attached screenshot. Also, try deleting all the profiles you have created so far and then reset to default - if you ARE going to update the firmware, you MUST do this first. BTW, are you moving up to W7 or W8 OS? I'm running W7 64bit. I would suggest a Clean Install, if you can. p.s. Looking at your system specs - certainly is rather old, 64 bit capable but I'm thinking W8 won't like it.
