xodius80
hi guys, im having issues with the ram kit to get into 4ghz (blck 200x20) in my i7 920, ive isolated vcore on the cpu to take that out of the equation, in prime95 using the large FFT´s i get bsod´s aming at ram, to be the issue. ive done plenty of testing: Specs: PROC: I7 D0 920 MB: FLAMINGBLADE GTI (BIOS 8CBF1P10) (FAB 1.0) (REV 12) RAM: CORSAIR TR3X6G1600C9 1.65 VER 2.3 (1056833) (10010199) PSU CORSAIR GS800 cpu vcore @1.264 uncore @v1.360 ram @9-9-9-24-2(other subtimings at auto) @1600 with 1.65v rest at default voltages. i would like if nice tech can give me exact timings for this complete list wich my motherboards ask me in manual mode: the ones with ? are the ones i need to know and that at the moment are in auto, witch i bealive has something to do with the bsod. TCL (CAS LATENCY)= 9 TRCD (RAS TO CAS DELAY)= 9 TRP (RAS PRECHARGE)=9 TRAS ( PRE CHARGE DELAY) = 24 CR (COMMAND RATE) = T2 TRFC (REFRESH CYCLE TIME) ? TWR (WRITE RECOVERY TIME)= ? TWTR (WRITE TO READ DELAY) = ? TRRD (RAS TO RAS DELAY) = ? TRTP (READ TO PRECHARGE) = ? I know this last flag is not ram related but more chipset wise but i wonder: B2B (CAS LATENCY) = ? thank you for your time.
Synthohol
you need to just enable X.M.P. and the computer will do the rest. (with the MB's latest BIOS) no need to drive yourself crazy :)

(with the MB's latest BIOS) no need to drive yourself crazy :) haha thanks, yeah but the problem is that wen i use the xmp the uncore and qpi goes crazy on the multipliers and doesnt let me swithc to lower settings to get a 16x qpi 8x uncore ratio wich is the ones i need with this mobo on a 20x cpu multi with a 200 blck. btw this bios that i have is the latest of them all. thanks for your reply

XMP will slightly overclock your CPU to help with the memory overclock. 16x qpi 8x uncore ratio wich is the ones i need with this mobo on a 20x cpu multi with a 200 blck. Unless your trying to overclock your CPU too, you shouldn't have to worry about these settings. Just set the board back to defaults and then enable XMP . Making sure the DIMM v is 1.65 and the QPI voltage is 1.35v cpu vcore @1.264 uncore @v1.360 ram @9-9-9-24-2(other subtimings at auto) @1600 with 1.65v rest at default voltages. would like if nice tech can give me exact timings for this complete list wich my motherboards ask me in manual mode: These settings ARE correct. You can try adding a little more to the uncore(QPI) voltage. That can go to 1.45v max. That very well could be the cause of your BS's As far as the rest of the settings are concerned they are not published because they are more of a MB setting and best left on auto for the MB to set. They are not the cause of your BSOD's. Set the first four as you did and leave the rest on auto.
