CLink2 fan speed profiles with noctua nf-f12

As said in title I have a bit of a problem with fan profiles. Not really a problem but...

Anyway nf-f12 got a bit diferent speed range than stock corsair fans and they are at max rpm at 1500. So as soon as I set profile to balanced it jumps to max rpm.

Anyway those predefine profiles are not really good with nf-f12. not much problems but still.

So I tried to create custom profile but from what I saw it looks like those temperature points that you are setting in custom profile are not CPU temperature but h100i temperature instead. Or are they?

So plan is to set custom speeds based on CPU temperature but right now it doesn't look I can do that with custom profile settings.

Any help here?

Thanks!

I just installed NF-F12s (and plugged them into my H100i) today. They run at about 900-1050 at idle on the "Quiet Mode", and 1300-1400 at idle on the "Balanced Mode." There is no increase in fan speed on the "Performance Mode."

By the way, I am amazed at how silent these fans are compared to the Corsair fans.

I am seriously thinking of doing this. With the exception of running them off my mobo. Did you see any loss in cooling when you switched to the NF-F12s? I tend to run my fans at the 70-80% mark to help maintain positive case pressure so a reduction in sound would be welcome.

I ran a couple of quick tests and thought that the Noctuas were as good or maybe even a bit more effective at cooling at lower fan speeds. But the sound (or lack thereof) is just so much better. If you care about how noisey your PC is, I highly recommend pairing them with the Corsair cooler.

Are the Noctuas plugged into the two fan headers on the pump? Or plugged into the PSU/Motherboard? Are you using the Low Noise Adapters which come with the NF-F12s? Thanks.

My Nocutuas are plugged into the pump. They are performing flawlessly. Totally controllable at any set speed (or profile) and super quiet.
