Mawa
I purchase a Corsair H100i on Saturday (23/03/2013) and I love it other than the fact that there is an oscillating whining noise, this makes it unable to bear as you cant tune it out especially in a quiet room. I'm not sure what to do. I've submitted a case to Corsair (Case No: 5777250), but thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone has come across this before or has any suggestions? Any ideas gratefully appreciated as I'd love my system to be quiet.
AlphaBravo
Where is the noise coming from?
Mawa
I can't be certain, I think its the fans as the pitch changes depending on the fan speed.
babdi
If your fans are not PWM then do a RMA of fans
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 28, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 28, 2013 Try connecting the fan directly to the MB fan header and see if that will get rid of the noise. Also, you can try for a short period of time running the pump with out the fans and see that changes as well. Isolate the noise and find out if its from the fan or the pump.
