I just installed the h100i and as soon as i booted up my system i get the message one of the usb devices not recognized. I installed the software with the latest from the website v2.3.4816.it shows up in devive manager as an unknown device.any suggestions as to what is wrong besides a bad unit.

the fans spin fine but windows does not recognize the h100i as being plugged into a usb port. i just used another cable and plugged into the usb to a standard usb on the outside of the case and still get the same error message:Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

i figured it out it has to be powered off a usb powered hub.anywhere else it is plugged in it will give me that error and will not let the software work.so i have a usb cable pugged into the h100i and out the rubber gromment for a water cooling hosein the back of the case and its plugged into my usb hub which is powered.the h100i must draw too much for my mobo to handle.i had that problem on another computer with a keyboard when plugged in and i had to get a powered usb hub to fix that too.i guess that means my **** needs to be upgraded.lol

any one else have a different solution? Corsair Link won't launch and I have a "unkown device" in my device manager. Trying to get this solved without running USB to outside of case.

It is probably your os. Win xp 64bit has no driver support what so ever

even no driver, windows could detect the unrecognized device with usb port

but nothing device connect the usb port and detected for my windows

Corsair Link can run in winXP 64bit with 32bit mode

so are we to believe that *some* of us require a powered USB hub to get this thing to work? I have a brand new built PC and my mobo should support what ever is expected from Corsair.

Corsiar Link will not launch (crashes silently). So I checked my Device Manager and found "Unknown Device".

I tried to plug USB into the back of my case but still nothing.

PS. only reason I care about this software is to turn down the damn fans!!! they are running at FULL by default! (my h100 had the button to adjust fan speed)

Just because you have a new computer doesn't mean it will support the high current demand that the corsair needs to operate properly.i can only give you info on what worked for me. A powered USB hub was an easy and inexpensive solution to the problem for me and it might work for you as well

sorry guys, my problem might be different. I don't have the USB plugged in and I still see an Unknown Device. When I plug in the H100i I see nothing happen in devices.

And Corsair Link crashes silently (both ver2.3.4816 and latest beta)

My problems are solved, the cooler's mini usb is bad. Replace a new one and detected by winodws XP 64bit

Also, Corsair Link is worked with Windows XP 64bit, but need to use 2.2.0 version.

ver. 2.3.4816 & 2.4.4948-Beta could not detect any device.

In case the cooler is not need to connect with the power USB hubs because the cooler get the power from the SATA power cable, so it is sufficient power for the cooler.

Also, the USB cable must connect to USB 2.0 head or above

The device show in the windows device manager is "USB Human Interface Device". (Windows XP 64bit)
