H80i Question

I was just wondering about a few things:

1. I have 4 fans on the H80i but only two are connected to to corsair Link, how can I get all 4 of them working with corsair link software? (Do I need the cables? )

2. currently I am running those 4 fans as push push push and one pull (meaning 3 on the right side and one on the left side. Is that fine?, or would it be better for two on each side?

3. I can't get corsair link to change colors according to the temperatures I've set and the colors I've set, but it doesn't show it changes the colors on the software as well.

Coming from a physicist, I'd recommend taking those two superfluous fans off the H80i and putting them where they will do more good. Push/pull is more than enough to get excellent heat transfer from the radiator to the air. The extra two on push are just using current and not providing any significant increase in flow or efficiency and may actually be introducing turbulence to the fan input(s) directly adjacent. Essentially, you've got the first push fan doing the work and the two that follow (between it and the radiator) are just marching in step and not providing any additional throughput; unless, of course, they are running at greater RPM than the first fan. That would introduce its own problems and essentially make the first fan redundant instead.

1. You will need the Y cable to add two more fans. You can submit an RMA request and ask for the Y fan cable for your H80i.

2. 4 fans mounted on the radiator? Not sure if I am understanding this right, but do you mind posting some photos?

3. What version of the SW are you using?
