filipealves
hello guys, i'am a newbi, and i need some help :) i have 2 kits of this memory that i recently bought, and i wanted to use it on my system, wich the specs are on my profile, i got my i5 2500k working solid at 4.8ghz with my old 12800cl7 8gb kit of another memory brand, wich i intended to upgrade with this corsair kit, in bios the option to select ddr3 2000 isn't present, since i wated to oc it anyway i got the option of 2133mhz, 2250mhz and 2400mhz. i tried some timmings for 2133mhz, system boots but it's unstable and gives me blue screens, any one can tell me what i need to config on bios in term of voltage and timmings so i can get the best of this kits? thanks. peanutz94
Corsair doe s not suggest or support using multiple kit, even if they are the same exact part number because compatibility between kits can be hit or miss at best . And with an overclock that high 1866mhz might be the best you can get with that processor and mis-matched memory.

Hi filipealves Did you update motherboard bios? http://ca.asus.com/en/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/MAXIMUS_IV_GENEZGEN3/#download You have to use XMP profile to set memory automatically. Memory Module Specifications Memory Speed MHz 2000MHz Memory Timing 8-9-8-24 and Voltage 1.65V As it is 1886MHz memory,as you notice ther no 2000MHz setting. But if you youse XMP profile it will set memory at 1886MHz and OC CPU to get memory run to 2000MHz. So CMT4GX3M2A2000C8 is all ready OC your system, as your Intel i5 2500k have a DDR3-1066/1333 controller. Any thing over 1600MHz is a udge OC for your system. Your going to have to lower your CPU overclock to free up some power for your memory controller. 4.8ghz along with trying to run your memory that high above stock clocks probably isn't going to happen. You could use XMP and that will set the memory for you and then you can start raising yur CPU overclock It may be best to look for overclocking guides for your MB and or CPu to help you further. filipealves
best way i could set it was to run at 1866mhz (933.5mhz) 8-9-8-24-1t 1.65v stable without messing with the cpu.

Yes, this is true, and you may have to run at 1600MHz to get it system stable
