MiRaCL
Hello Bought a H70 Core kit + 2x AP 120 fans last night. I couldn't find any info about the core version last night, so i read a couple of H70 reviews. When i got the unit today i was surprised to find that the radiator is 36/38mm think and not the 48mm that it says on the box. I actually says 38mm on your site as well and that that is double the thickness of your standard radiator(witch i guess i H50 25/27mm). Double the thickness would be about 48mmm, so your information information seem to be wrong on your site as well as on the box and manual. Why has the Core edition got a slimmer radiator than the normal H70 edition? Did i get the wrong product in the box? The only reason i bought this was because of the double thickness(owned H50 before).
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 27, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 27, 2013 The H70 core has a 38mm thickness for the radiator and not 48mm. Not sure if looked at the 1st gen H70 but the Amazon has 38mm on their site. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Performance-Liquid-CW-9060002-WW/dp/B005QUQP8U. I'll check with the web team and see if we can correct that info. Why has the Core edition got a slimmer radiator than the normal H70 edition? Did i get the wrong product in the box? You have the correct item. It is slimmer than the 1st gen H70 because the cooler does not come with the fan making it versatile to match with any after market fans so the user can have the option to use any fan they prefer, from 20mm to 38mm fans.
