hammong
I've been running LINK 2.2.0 under Windows 8 Pro x64 for a while now with my H100i, and it's been running just fine. So today, I picked up a brand new AX1200i from my local Micro Center, installed it, and connected the CorsairLink cable from the AX1200i to the port on my H100i water block. Fired up 2.2.0 and it showed both the H100i and AX1200i, but the power output was showing 0.0A for all outputs except the "MAIN" channel. Uninstalled 2.2.0, deleted %appdata%/Corsair folder and C:\Progra*x86*\Corsair folders, rebooted, then installed latest LINK 2.3.4816. Same problem, although it shows more decimal places with the zeros. =) Occasionally, it will blink a valid-looking current amount for the various PCie ports, and 24-bit ATX port, but usually it's zero. If I crank up Prime95, the PCIe8 port where I have the 8-pin EPS +12V ATX plug for my motherboard will ramp up to 13-14A, then back to zero when I close Prime95. I have five of the PCIe plugs utilized, 4x used for GTX 680s and 1x used for the 8-pin EPS +12V plug. There should be at least 0.5A on all of those at all times. So, my question is this -- is the problem simply software related? Is anybody running an AX1200i with CorsairLink, and does it show proper values in the ATX, PCIe, and Peripheral amps display? System is P9X79 WS, i7-3930K, H100i, AX1200i, 2xEVGA GTX 680 SLI, 1 HDD, 1 SSD, 5 fans, 4 DIMMS. No other boards installed. Windows 8 Pro x64. Toasted
I think you have to run some kind of stress program tool to see the voltages.
Speed
So today, I picked up a brand new AX1200i from my local Micro Center, installed it, and connected the CorsairLink cable from the AX1200i to the port on my H100i water block. Ummmm... is that recommended -- or even possible?
Toasted
@Speed Yes it is possible.
pev69
I just bought the AX860i and I have exactly the same thing: Link (2.3.4816) shows zero currents (except main) when idle, sometimes a non-zero value may show for a few seconds. If I stress the CPU and GPU (Prime95 + Furmark) then currents appear. It must be buggy software/firmware.
hammong
I've seen several other AX860i and AX1200i users complaining of exactly the same behavior. This is definitely a bug. As for connecting the AX1200i to the H100i water block, yeah - it's supported. The H100i has a USB Commander built into it, and has one accessory port for attaching another device. The CorsairLink is nothing more than a point to point serial link with a send/receive and ground in it. If the PSU knows the total power consumption, I would expect it to show a number of voltage/current pairs that you can arrive at that total power output. Definitely a bug. I wonder if it works properly for ANYONE, and if so - wish they'd chime in so we can work together to diagnose the cause. Greg
GiantSheep
I am experiencing this exact same bug. I have a AX760i PSU and I'm running Windows 8. I've tried all the recent versions of Corsair Link software and I've updated the firmware of the Corsair Link Commander. I've also tried to connect the PSU directly with the Corsair Link dongle, but I'm experiencing the same issue with that. The voltage readings are being reported correctly, but current readings are zero except for one PCI-E current value that blinks between zero and some value when not under stress, and shows some value around 4-5A when running a CPU intensive task. This is rather frustrating as I bought the PSU exactly for power measurement purposes. Tips for fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Xclsyr
I wonder if it works properly for ANYONE, and if so - wish they'd chime in so we can work together to diagnose the cause. Just picked up an 860i along with the Commander kit (already running Link with a H100i). All readings reporting normally, all the time. Only difference is that 860i cable is plugged into Commander instead of the cooler.
GiantSheep
Would it be possible to get some sort of a statement from Corsair on whether this is likely to be a software or hardware problem? If it is a hardware problem, I'd like to start the RMA process as soon as possible and not waste time and energy trying to find a solution on the software side. TheSidewinder
Same here. Amperage for the 24-pin shows as 0.000 though to be fair, that's the only value at 0.000 - the rest have correct values. And once in a while, the amperage shows up, but then goes right back to 0.000. Just now I got 3.750 amps briefly, then back to 0.000 Corsair.... are you there? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 28, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 28, 2013 I have stated this previously several times but there has to at least 3 amps of load before any specific rail will show the current draw. The O.P is showing less than 120 Watts of load on the system so until there is about 40-60% load on the system that will not register
pev69
Why is there such limitation in showing the currents??
Speed
Why is there such limitation in showing the currents?? Really... That's ludicrous. A reading should be a reading, period. Ummm what's the point of having three decimal places if it takes a threshold of 3 amps to wake it up?
hammong
I agree completely with Speed above. ^^^^. What's the purpose of three decimals of precision if you can't show 0.000-2.999 amps? This has to be a programming issue. Greg
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 12, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 12, 2013 I am sorry but no it is a limitation of the hard ware being able to reliably calculate the amperage bellow a certain level.
