StayRemembered
Hello I have 16GB of RAM. 4x4 Corsair Dominator GT Part Number: CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 The problems is sometime when I turn on my PC the BIOS, beeps four times. I looked up the AMI beep codes and this is the error I get. "System Timer Failure: The system clock/timer IC has failed or there is a memory error in the first bank of memory". I have tried multiple things like switching the ram around, I have even got a new motherboard from EVGA. But I still am having the problem and it doesnt happen all the time. I also noticed CPUz isnt recognizing one of my ram sticks so it might be dead?. If so I would like to know if you guys have a warranty because they are fairly new. peanutz94
Test all your sticks individually in the first slot with memtest86=. Let each stick run for about three passes minimum. This will point out a bad stick pretty quick. But the system timer error can also be a dead CMOS battery. So you might want to replace that too. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 25, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 25, 2013 That memory is compatible for your D77 as it supports XMP so you can use the profile built into the modules.
