Corsair Link - Lighting Kit

Any idea when they will be available?

How long are the LED strips? I understand you get 3 strips of 3 LED's per unit? But each Lighting Node can control 32 strips?

I am so close to buying the complete Cooling and Lighting Kit to compliment the H100i and AX860i I already have but dont want to be investing money in a Lighting Kit if I cannot fully light the case to satisfaction.

Are any third party LED strips able to be run off the Lighting Kit? Even if they are not controlled in terms of colour having extra LED's even compatible one's would be great. I don't think 9 LED's is going to be anywhere near enough.

Surely Corsair have a stack of these LED strips, Why not sell them? Like you can get replacement Fans for the H100i etc Why no more LED strips? This really puts me off buying the whole kit if like a year later after the Youtube Video saying that additional LED strips are available they are not.

Dont get me wrong I do like Corsair kit, Wouldnt have spent so much and be considering additional purchases but the LED strips need to be sold ASAP. I'm not spending ~£25 for 9 LED's when other companies sell like 25 for under £20.

I am not sure about the length as I do not own it, but there was a post not too long ago where RAM Guy said that he was sending somebody a message to look into selling individual LED strips.

And from what I know the LED strip connection is proprietary?

They really need to get this sorted. Not knowing if a product is basically not supported after a year is a bit bad. In fact it shouldn't be allowed to happen.

I am postponing purchasing buying the Cooling and Lighting Kit until further information and a clear timeframe on these LED strips which we were told would be available from day 1 and still no clear indication if they will ever be is made.

Love Corsair products and Support but this is one small thing which is annoying me. I'm sure there are literally hundreds potentially thousands of other customers who are or have given up hope on a clear timeframe for implementation and just go with other vendors who can provide a better solution than Corsair's You get 9 LED's for £25! and we dont sell aditional one's but you can buy more complete kits.. It's a farce to be fair.

I would literally get out the credit card, Drop the £80 or so quid and buy the Cooling and Lighting Kit and maybe another £20 on some additional LED strips the instant they become available.

Until then I suppose I'll make do with the Digital PSU and H100i and not controll the case fans.. Seriously how long do we have to wait? They are missing a huge sales potential.

You just know that people out there are fed up with this and end up buying a fan controller and Lighting from other companies who can provide that solution. Why are we still waiting?

Hello? Can a Corsair Employee please comment? And I want a timeframe none of that "we're looking into it" You've had over 12 months!!!

Please Corsair, Give your customers what it wants and not a half baked solution we currently have?

Also I was speaking to someone about the 600T which features a Chassis switch to controll the whole kit in terms of fans etc... Could you make a bay which includes this feature like a 3.5" or something so everyone can use this feature?

Thanks

I agree with you that the LEDs should be sold separately.

I can help with the dimensions if you want.

The LED strip has 3 LEDs on it and the length from end to end is about 7 inches. There are also extension cables without LEDs on them.

I have a cosmos II case and have 3 total lighting nodes.

It would be nice to have additional LEDs, but its also nice to have more control over the channels. All of the LEDs on a channel will operate the same way.

You can get something like a link lighting + cooling kit and then buy a couple of additional lighting nodes.

I put the LEDs with 2 on on channel and that was enough to run along side the entire bottom under the MB and I did the same on top. The the LEDs that were left over (1 strip per node) I put elsewhere.

Total Dealbreaker, I will not pay £25 for 9 yes 9 LED's when I could go to BitFenix and get 25!!! Yes 25 for a similar price.

I dont want more than 1 Lighting Kit. I want more strips!

Appreciate your response but this situation needs to change and quickly.

thats true but their merely reps of corsair,if the big boys dont give a answer, the mods cannot either.im just waiting like last time for a 1/2 price sale again and stock up on em again.that makes them comparable to other price strips then.

Half price sales don't apply to UK customers, By the time you factor in shipping it's the same as RRP in the UK.

Still a word from a Corsair rep to clarify if they are going to be releasing a product which they said last year would is available to purchase and is marketed would be a novel idea I suppose.
