The_Sorcerer
Hi, I actually run a review website and help folks in Think Digit forums so I am asking this question on behalf of them since Indian PR cut me off from communication with Corsair. BTW, I am the same guy who won that Computex 2012 contest held by you/Tweaktown! :D Few people have asked me that their fans on GS Series power supplies do not spin. Someone whom I know who owns the older and the newer GS600 said the same, and thought that most likely they must be having the same controller type as in AX series where the fan spins only after a certain temperature threshold. I would appreciate if you can confirm this, since its more than one person who have been asking me about this for a while now.
peanutz94
Yes, the GS series is fanless at low load/temps. It's a lot like the AX series in that respect but it can be any combination of the two. Temp of around 49c and loads of around 40%. The unit should spin up briefly at start up and then stop until those rules are met.
