H60v2 RMA#5680351 Possible cpu damaged due to pump failure

Recommended Posts

I currently have a h60v2 with corsair support for rma#5680351 in which the water pump failed and processor overheated.

When the pump failed the cpu forced a shutdown as it hit it's max temp, however ever since I have been getting intermittent bcc124 bsod's, (dumplog to follow), I think this is due to damage to the cpu when the cooling system failed.

Does the warranty on the h60v2 also cover damage to other components? as I am not sure if the processor is still in it's warranty period, or if it will even be covered for this problem.

Following dumps are produced from a completely fresh win 7 install, with no programs at all installed. It will sometimes even do this booting from the dvd so it's definitely not a driver issue.

Oh, and my reason for thinking its processor damage is the glaring FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x124_GenuineIntel_PROCESSOR_MAE in the dump. However if someone with more experience with these logs believes it to be something else please let me know. A quick google search finds people suggesting this bsod is common due to graphics card failure, and as mine is still covered by warranty, I would actually prefer that to be the case.

Wow you guys start early, hope processing goes quickly but I'm still no further with the bsod issue. Anyone know if cpu damage is covered?
