Aadder
I have 64Gigs of CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 Corsair Vegeance Memory installed in a Asus P9X79 WS. I already took back 64Gigs of ram and this new set I'm getting memory errors within the windows memory tester and memtest86. Attached is a screen shot of the error. Could this be bad memory again or ?
peanutz94
It's more than likely that your using multiple kits. Corsair does not suggest or support mixing/combining kits even if they are the same exact part number because there is no way to predict how any two random kits will play with each other. This practice started back when it really didn't matter what memory you used or how many kits. But when they moved the memory controller from the MB to the CPU the memory controllers became really picky about slight differences between kits. This is why Corsair takes the time to test and package memory into kits of certain capacities. You should have bought one single matched 64gig kit instead of two 32 gig kits. Do you have the latest BIOS for your MB? You caould also try upping the memory voltage to 1.55v or even 1.6v to see if that will get them stable. If not, then there isn't much you can do when mixing kits. It would be best to return them and get something like this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233331
Aadder
Thanks the only problem I have is that I have to go through a local provider. I'll see if MicroCenter is willing to get in the 64Gig kit for me.
