dekker
Hello Having problems with my new ssd. The problem is it will install windows 8 but it takes over an hour, when it is installed it sticks and freezes to a point that it is unusable. I notice when it freezes my HDD light is constantly on. I have enabled AHCI (it was enabled by default) before I installed it. Disconnected my other hdds also Then after a few installs with windows 8 and windows 7 I get the same result So I thought I will try it in IDE mode in the BIOS, when I did it installed windows 8 in 12 minutes and runs great but the speeds seem a bit low. Can't understand why it will not work in AHCI. Maybe i have missed something out Thanks for any help
