H100i dead after couple of weeks, starts for a little bit on boot

So after installing the latest version of Corsair Link (2.3.4816) and rebooting, my H100i cooler seems to be no longer working. During boot, the light would come on, the fans would turn on, and seconds later it would turn off before the boot would finish. Anyone seen anything like this? I tried switching sata connections, USB ports, fan connections, fan cords; nothing seems to work.

My motherboard is a P8Z77-I if you are curious.

*Update: So I have determined that the pump is still running after boot and the fans turn on when I plug them into a header that is not on the motherboard. However, the device is still not recognized. It looks to be a communication issue with the USB port.

this happens on my h80i and i use evga p55 sli board, sometimes in my 1.4 firmware it will not be detected the fans would be running but it is not detected by the system and since i was hoping it would be fixed if i use 1.5 i installed it and good it was running after the next shutdown guess what no matter what i try changing headers using an external port it couldnt just be read by my board

I was using firmware version 1.5. Cooler was running great until I updated to Corsair link 2.3.4816. I am not sure if the software did anything or the cooler just crapped out.
