K90 still repeating keys on latest firmware

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have updated the firmware to the latest version (K90-Software-1_0_0_30) and I still have a problem with repeating keys!!! This isn't something I can live with, like if the led lights weren't working, this is the fundamental purpose of the product!

No more Corsair products for me, and I will recommend the same to anyone else!

What kind of repeat issues are you experiencing? We've beta tested this firmware with over a large number of testers both internal and external and haven't seen the repeat issue occur. What are you doing when it happens, and how does it stop? Can you click on the i button and confirm you have firmware 1.31?

Yes, I am on firmware 1.31. Here is the info:

VIID: 0x1B1C

PID: 0x1B02

Product: Corsair Venggeance K90 Keyboard

Firmware: 1.31

Windows: Windows 7 Enterpriise 64 bit

All of the above repeatiing letters (i, g) occurred as I typed this reply and I did not go back and edit.

What you're experiencing isn't what the firmware resolved. It looks like you actually may have chatter or a physical defect with the keyboard. Put in a RMA request and we'll exchange it for you.

Try disabling USB Legacy support and EHCI Hands off in bios settings, but not if you are on XP or older. This seems working for me, probably Windows drivers conflicted with controller. If you need to enter safe mode, just re-enable them.
