curlysir
Just downloaded and installed the new software. http://www.corsair.com/us/cpu-cooling-kits/hydro-series-water-cooling-cpu-cooler/hydro-series-h100i-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler.html click on downloads. Appears to have fixed the problem with safely removing hardware problem with external drives. So far no problems. I removed the old version before I installed the new. Mr_ALLroy
One question I've had since the 2.2 release and now this new release. When I group my fans to the temp of my cpu and set a custom profile, the fans speeds are erratic. They max out and slow down repeatedly. They don't slowly ramp up according to my cpu temp as I would like to see. Is this an issue with the software or is the software not intended to have the fan's grouped with the cpu temp and set to a custom profile? To me, it would make more sense to group these in this way as that would give me less "hassle free" control of my cpu temps. *Update* I can also confirm that the "safely remove hardware" problem is gone for me. sinnedone
Do the fans still speed up full blast at boot? Does the software no stop pinging the hard drives every second?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 13, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 13, 2013 Appears to have fixed the problem with safely removing hardware problem with external drives. Glad to hear that this issue has been fixed. I'd to hear more feedback about this. One question I've had since the 2.2 release and now this new release. Coolant is the agent that dissipates heat from your CPU, it would only make sense if the speed variation of the fans are relative to it. Try grouping them under the Cooler and not CPU. Do the fans still speed up full blast at boot? Does the software no stop pinging the hard drives every second? Yes, they will still ramp up during boot. This is normal. The SW does not access your drive anymore, this is one of the changes we made from the previous version.

I understand what you're saying. I'm not sure if you understand what I'm trying to do. I would rather have the fans rpm change according to my cpu temps without regard to the coolant temp. The ability to have a temp/rpm ratio based on the cpu temp, not the coolant temp is what I would like to be able to control. Grouping the fans in the cpu temp group doesn't work as I'd like. Is this possibly something that could be implemented in a future software update? Please? :))
Cmanico
:D any chance of a g15 LCD applet in the next version, It'd be damn sweet to be able to monitor the different aspects of Corsair link and my h100i and ax860i. Not sure of the likelyhood of this simply because Logitech could be seen as a competitor as Corsair sells keyboards as well. random thought off. Click the fan, config panel shows up, change the group under CPU and select custom curve under Mode... there you can set the fan's rpm based on the CPU temp. one I updated to the new version my fans make a low rumbling noise again !! , was fixed once I updated to the new FW version with older CL2 (2.2) and now its back , that is very disappointing....... any els experiencing the same problem?
