gubbelur
Hi! I recently installed an h80i with an ASUS Maximus Gene V motherboard. After having fan problems I installed the 1.05 firmware and was pleased to notice that the fan noise was gone. However, there is still an issue with pulsating noise that comes from the motherboard/USB header after I install Corsair Link 2.2.0. The noise comes every second and almost sounds like a hard drive write/buzzing. It also makes the hard drive LED in the chassis blink together with the noise every second. I tried reinstalling Windows entirely from scratch and afterwards the noise doesn't reappear until the Link software is reinstalled. Any suggestions as how to solve this? I'm not so keen on connecting the fans to the motherboard as the CPU fan header only supports PWN fan speed regulation.
madmecca1975
Has it got logging enabled on the options tab might be that just guessing
gubbelur
Nope, logging is not enabled. I took a closer look today and it seems that everytime LINK reads CPU temp or load the annoying write to the harddrive occurs making a short buzzing sound, which means a little more often than once every second. I can tell since the noise appears everytime one of these values change in the LINK interface. It doesn't help to just shut LINK down; it has to be completely uninstalled for the issue to go away. Toasted
Try the new software and see if it helps Corsair LINK v2.3.4816 http://www.corsair.com/us/media/cms/drivers/CorsairLINK2_Installer_v2.3.4816.exe
