Charging Vengeance 2000

Hey :)

Just bought vengeance 2000 about a week ago and am loving it. I have one concern/problem though.

I'm currently playing on a laptop with limited USB ports. I can charge the headset perfectly fine using the laptop, but when I plug the thing into a wall out-let using my mobile phone charger, it makes a strange buzzing noise. Is this normal? if so will it damage the headset? I'm sat next to 3 empty wall-out lets so been able to use these instead of a USB port will be a major advantage, I just can't talk or listen using these while it's charging via the wall out-let.

hi, i'm looking for the answer for this type of question too.

* if you hear strange buzzing noise - so i deadly think that it is not normal at all, and i think also that you should stop doing that.

* I don't think that all phone charger are the same ... they have difference of A and some thime not the same voltage. - beware i think.

But :

If we always need to leave the computer on - in order to charge the headset : not a good deal at all. So is there any body can tell me if and with what caracter of one phone charger on wall out-let can do a job ? I got in my hand my HTC charger with 5Vol and 1A output. and i dont know if it is safe to charge the Vengeance 2000 headset

-------- Vengeance 2000 is so good that we dont want to harm or brick him ^^ ---------

@Moosie: I saw this issue on a laptop with my own V2000 as well but not on the desktop, It doesn't hurt the headset at all - I'm beginning to believe that the USB ports on a laptop thoough really aren't as good as the ones on a desktop motherboard.

@Huno: I use a phone charger without any issues as those usually aren't a problem. Another good charger to use is a USB adapter to wall socket plug like what some wireless peripherals come with since they most likely share the same specs as our li-ion battery.

There is nothing wrong with my laptop. My laptop charges my headset perfectly fine. The problem is when I plug the headset via phone charger directly into the mains (the plug in the wall) is when it starts making a noise.

I originally thought that the phone charger was providing too much power to the headset, thus making a static noise, but I just wanted to clear this up. Again the headset is perfectly fine, and so is my laptop, I just wanted to know if the buzzing noise when plugged into the mains (wall) is a power issue that will damage the headset, or a headset issue. For reference, I'm using the charger which comes with the Nexus 7 tablet.
