Nutrollio
I have 4 gigs of ram, I want to add 4 more to make 8g. CPU-Z shows Corsiar ddr3 dual channel 1600mhz 1.6v .I've been looking for the same type but cant find it anyhere, I took it out of my system and it says Item # CM3X2G1600C9B6X but I still cant find it. It looks phsysicaly like this one here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145324 . But I cant find a match for the item # I wrote above. What ram would work with my type I have already installed? Cpuz shows on SPD tab 9-9-9-24 I believe. peanutz94
There really no way to tell if any two random kits would work with each other.Trying to add/mix/combine memory can be hit or miss at best. No matter how close they are in specs. Corsair does not suggest or support mixing kits even if they are the same exact part numberfor this very reason. You can try what you like but really the best thing to do is just purchase a new matched 8 gig kit so all your sticks are matched.
