dontha3
I recently replace my computer's cooling unit with a Corsair H50, after installation my PC will turn on and go through the "motherboard ad" screen and then to a black screen with a flashing white bar in the top left and stay on that screen. I have checked all the connections and made sure no damage was done to the printed circuitry. The motherboard ad screen does have commands buttons listed at the bottom to access the BIOS (f1-f12). If anyone has any suggestions to solving my issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
peanutz94
Can you get into your BIOS at all to see what the pumps RPM is? If you can not, i would remove the unit and reapply ,making sure the pump head is sitting flush on the CPU. Be sure to wipe off the thermal paste and use new. Let us know if that makes any difference or you fann see if the pump is running. Can you hear the pump running? or feel it?
dontha3
I took my tower to my local Geek Squad and they took a look. Apparently by sheer coincidence, one of my RAM slots died at the time I installed the new cooler. After reconfiguring the RAM sticks, my PC is up and running. Thanks for the helpful advice!
