omaly321
Alright, so I know that this has been asked before, but I'm not satisfied with the answers I've seen so far ("read the pdf") because for the life of me I can't find anything resolving the issue. I've scoured the software, internet and software guide and can't figure out how to do it: Basically I want to assign the Alt key to a G key on my K90, to be used in 3DS Max. It's a pain having all my macros for switching viewports and what not on the G keys, and then having to move my hand everytime I want to rotate the viewport with Alt. The problem is, when I've assigned it, the keypress (either with advanced options or recorded macro) doesn't work. I've set the playback option to "repeat while held", and tried every single other delay and playback option available in the software (and quadruple checked none of them worked). I tried assigning the W key as a macro, and tested it in Skyrim, Minecraft, GTA 4 etc, and it seems the problem isn't that the key isn't playing. It's that the key isn't permenant a.k.a. the character is moving jerkily, as if I'm tapping the W key hundreds of times a minute. I see no option in the software to fix this, but maybe I'm just an idiot. I have downloaded and installed the latest software and firmware from the Corsair site, and have tried both software and hardware playback. Thanks to anyone who can help, sorry this is a bit long. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 8, 2013 How are you recording the macro? Are you ignoring delays? Have you tried deleting the up arrow next to the key (it simulates release) to see if that makes a difference in the playback? Does using hardware playback with this method help too? omaly321
Ahh, I didn't think of deleting the up arrow. It works now, thanks so much! The fact that you have to delete the key release instead of just having a permenant keypress option seems a bit odd, but at least I know how to do it now.
