jeepguy_1980
I am trying to run Corsair Link 2.2 on Windows 8 Pro x64. Every time I launch the program, I immediately get an error stating that Sierra2 has stopped working and Corsair Link never opens. I am trying to use Corsair Link with my AX860i, which I will probably have to return if I cannot get the program to work. Is this program compatible with Windows 8? I cannot find a definitive answer anywhere.
iWingers
Well, I'm running an AX860i, H100i, Corsair Link Commander, Cooling Node, Lighting Node and GPU Node all on Windows 8 Pro. I've got everything running now. When I had my AX860i and H100i plugged in via USB, I never had any problems. Sorry I couldn't help, but at least I can clarify they will work. Also, RAM GUY noted that Corsair Link isn't fully supported on Windows 8 atm, but that should change. I wouldn't RMA the power supply though, because it's a quality component, and your supplier may not accept the RMA if it's working properly anyway. Its not oficially compatible with Win8, though there are ways of getting it going. I have Win8 myself and the solution wich has been posted several times is to uninstall the link software, then make sure to reboot the pc. After that rightklick the setup file and set it to rin in Win7 compatible mode and run it as administrator.

That "solution" is mentioned a few times, but not in relation no one has ever posted that it works for them in Windows 8. I've tried it a few times and it does not work for me. masse70
Windows 8 is not supported if I understood your previous post, you are running Windows 8 correct? If you are I would uninstall the software and down load it again then before you install it right click on the file and select compatibility and set it to run in Windows 32 Bit compatibility mode and run as Administrator. Then run the setup again and be sure to reboot after you uninstall the current software. As you can see ramguy answered this solution to me and has done the same in other threads too. It worked like a charm for me.
iWingers
I didn't have to run stuff in Win7 compatibility mode, I just used Link 2.1.1 to update, and switch back to 2.2.0 with only minor problems that fixed itself in the end. As of now I have all Link products working properly in Windows 8 Pro
jeepguy_1980
I've tried previous versions of Corsair Link (2.1.1, 2.1.7, 2.2.0) and none of them work. I've tried compatability mode, running as admin, etc... and each time "Sierra2 has stopped working" pops up immediately after I launch the program. I guess I'm sending my PSU back.
