ACNewland
So I recently bought a AX1200w and wanted to upgrade my cables to individually sleeved white cables. I finished building my pc this week with white cables and all, but when I went to power on my pc it would try to boot then die. I found it hard to believe Corsair sent me a dead product, I have a greater trust in them than that, so I dug deeper and long story short, ended up putting the stock cables on the psu and it works wonderfully. After examing the cables with this happening the pins in the different cables have slight dissimilarity. So I guess my questions are did I just get a bad set of cables, or are the two different psu's cables incompatible? Second, do you think I can return the white ones if it's my mistake and I ordered the wrong cables, getting the right ones inturn? TIA
Mem11
If you're saying you bought sleeved cables that were made for the ATX1200i and then tried to use them with your ATX1200, then no they wouldn't work as they are not compatible according to the Corsair PSU compatibility chart. It looks like you should have bought Corsair Part #CP-8920002, but instead got CP-8920028.
ACNewland
Well, I guess I should have looked more closely before buying :sigh!: Would Corsair accept a return and replacement in this situation you think?
Mem11
If I were you I would call/contact customer service and see what they can do. I would think they would try to work with you. Here's their contact page with their telephone numbers. If you go to the bottom right of the page and click on Customer Service under CONTACT, you can send them a message. I suppose you could also try to RMA it - the link is to the left, but the ind sleeved cables aren't listed on the pull down menu where you select your product. This shouldn't be a problem. You can call our customer service or submit an RMA request explaining the situation. I am pretty sure our customer will sort this out as painless as possible.
