Barbenoire
Hello, I just RMAed a AX860i because it was doing a very audible click every 10 seconds and made a lot of electrical buzzing noises. Received my replacement today and it is doing the exact same thing. After thoroughly testing it I noticed that every click the fan will jerk slightly making me believe the sound comes from the fan itself. What could be causing this every 10 seconds (I timed it :)) when the fan should be idle ? The electrical buzzing I can overlook but the clicking is driving me insane. Any suggestions ? help ? (tried all the suggestions in the sticky btw) Thanks Ben
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 12, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 12, 2013 but the clicking is driving me insane. It is most likely the PWM controller built in to the PSU. If the noise is louder than any of your case fans, then it is best to get it replaced. This time, the whole process will be at our own expense. Post your Case # and I will make sure that it gets taken care of.
