braindump
Hi, first build. Where is/are the header(s) on the P8Z77-V for the fans in the front? They appear to have male connections and are three prongs as opposed to the mobo male plugs which have four. The fan in the back i was able to use on a four prong, but speed gauge won't work. I thought all of these cases were standardized with modern mobos. Any solutions to this? What would you pros do? Thanks!!!
greatatlantic
Are we discussing the white LED case fans that come with the case? If so, those do not go through the Motherboard. They plug directly into cables from the case, and are then controlled by the buttons upfront.
braindump
How do they get power? Is there a direct connection to the power supply? If so, I do not have the adapter. I purchased the Corsair AX850 modular PSU. I don't see a cable for it.

Sure they can be connected to the MB. if you choose to have the MB control the fans automatically instead of having to use a knob to adjust them. The connectors are keyed and you just would not have any PWM function with a 3 pin fan.
