Toasted
If you plug the SP120 fans into the H100i block they will run at max speed.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 5, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 5, 2013 If you plug the SP120 fans into the H100i block they will run at max speed so i can use them but i cant control them is that what your saying ant the fan that come with the h100i sp120 fans The SP120 fan when plugged in to the H100i cooler will just run at max speed. Use the resistor that came with your SP120 fans to have some control, very minimal but at least you can lower it down.

curlysir
i thoght the h100i came with software to contorl the fan speeds so i other words your saying the h100i sucks Use the resistor that came with your SP120 fans whats the resistor Doesn't necessarily suck, only works with some PWM fans. Works with the Corsair PWM fans that came with the H100i. May or may not work with other PWM fans. Does not work with non PWM fans.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 8, 2013 thats the part i don't get the fan that come with the h100i are sp120 fans and they work with the cooler The stock fans are not SP120 fans, they are not the same. Stock fans are optimized for the cooler and SP120 are simple DC fans.

badkarma3059
As the fans are set up now they will push air in to the case. Pushing air into the case and through the rad is fine. You usually want cooler outside air going through the radiator if possible. This will can also contribute to positive pressure in the case and reduce dust. Assuming of course you use high quality filters over all intake fans. These are the way to go. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16769/ffi-119/DEMCiflex_Corsair_Carbide_500R_Magnetic_Dust_Fan_Filter_Set_-_5_Piece.html. Most course screen type filters do not help much.
