nik111
I hooked up a h100i on my new pc build and notice I can not change the fan speed via the corsair link2 software. The 2 fans on the h100i are at full speed, one is at 2137 and the other is at 1782.Max or quiet,it stays at the same speed. The only thing I did was change the stock fans that came with the h100i to Corsair sp120 high performance edition fans 120mm 2350 rpm fans. The 2 fans are at 2137 and 1782 rpm in the link software. Are the sp120 performance edition fans controllable with the link.Any suggestions appreciated.Thanks.... Toasted
If the SP120 fans are plugged in to the H100i block, they will run at max speed.

pucci821
You’re stuck just like me I have QE SP120 plugged into H100i pump and they are uncontrollable and run at full speed. They keep my 600T Silver Edition case cool but as Toasted said they will run at full speed. Options: If case has fan controller plug into case to control or add a fan controller of some kind and plug into that. Wait and see if Corsair updates firmware and software to control other fan units. Go back to stock fans and only then can u control from CorsairLink2 software. After many reads on this site there are only a few 120 fans (mostly stock fans only and can’t remember what other fans) that can be controlled by Corsairlink2 software. It’s an annoyance for sure one would think a corsair product would work perfectly well with another corsair product. I even saw a YouTube video where a Corsair tech puts together a new system using 600T case, H100i Hydro cooler and QE SP120 fans and never mention anything about software compatibility issues with this hardware. Hardware wise I’m perfectly happy with my system and like I said fans and pump keep my rig cool and quiet.
sinnedone
you can install the included fan resistors that came with your sp120's and you will gain control over them but will max out at 1600rpm.
