Drive Temp Info Required

This is my first venture into water cooling using a H80i. and I have CorsairLink 2.2.0 and what appears to be Firmware Version 1.0.0. Straight out of the box vanilla, no updates.

Installation was a breeze and everything fitted and software installed without a hitch and everything appears to be working ok, fans ramp etc. However I am somewhat confused by the Drive Temp reports. All 3 are obviously monitoring something and dutifully vary with time, but I can not pin down what and where they are monitoring, so any ideas ? I also wonder why I only get 3 reports when I have 4 drives, 2 SSD's & 2 Spinners ?

Also the reported CPU Temp @ 6*c is at odds with my Asus MB reporting program that registers 27*c. Can anyone offer any reason why this is ?

Any help would be appreciated.

some drives wont register temps as they dont have smart control, like some ssd's

using multiple programs to check temps will interfere with readings but even using them alone will generate different temps depending on where the temp probe is located at

btw, welcome to the board, feel free to ask any concerns you have.

Ok, thanks for the info guys, raises further questions though !

What is the value of an average core reading ? surely the actual temp, which I presume the Asus is reporting, is of more importance ?

Its basically all the core temps, added together and then divided by the amount of cores the CPU has to get the average reading.

I would use something like Core temp or Real temp to monitor the CPU temps, I think the motherboard programs are the socket temps.
