daveberrey
I am building a new system and have been checking the memory. Both individually and together they fail test 7 on memtest. The BIOS is set to default ie AUTO, and is at the moment running @ 1333/ 1.5v. The Corsair memory should work with this Gigabyte board, so is it a board/CPU problem? peanutz94
If both sticks fail individually and together i would think it's the board. While CPU failures do happen they are far less common than a bad board.
daveberrey
I have now got all sticks to pass individually or as a pair. I downloaded Memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org) version 4.2. There are some differences between Memtest86 & Memtest86+, on other sites I found more people had been having this test failure, and it seems to be a false negative result. Got a link to any of this information? This could be extremely useful!
