Raven24
Everything was working ok but the fans were running a little loud so I updated my firmware and now the fans and pump are not detected by the link software. The fans are now running at max and the pump must be working because the CPU temps are ok. I uninstall the link software and reinstalled it with no luck. I tried to reflash the firmware but updater says Status: H80i/H100i not connected. I checked in services and the Sierra2Service will be running until the firmware updater starts than the Sierra2Service shuts down. I've tried to manualy start it but it still says it not connected. I tried over and over and the Sierra2Service shuts down everytime the updater start even if I change the startup type to manual. I didn't delete my profiles before I flashed the firmware so maybe fried something. Any ideas would be great.
Toasted
Is the H100i connected via the Corsair Commander unit or via the USB LINK cable? If its connected via the Corsair Commander unit, it's a known issue.
Raven24
I have it hooked up with the USB LINIK cable. I switched USB sockets on the MB and still no LEDs on the pump. The pump must be working; but none of the control or monitoring in the pump unit is working. For now I have the fans hooked up to my two CPU headers (ASUS Sabertooth X79 MB) so the fans are not maxed out all the time.
Toasted
It sounds like the FW wasn't updated correctly. If you had recently purchased the H100i, contact your seller and ask if they can replace the unit for you. If not, request an RMA to replace it. Raven24
I purchased the cooler through amazon so I have a new unit coming with free 2 day delivery. Than I have 30 days to return the defective cooler. Cool no down time. Thanks, I though it was bricked but didn't know for sure what to do. Cool no down time. Thanks, I though it was bricked but didn't know for sure what to do. I reckon it might be due to some bug. Have you tried using plugging it into a USB port instead of plugging it into a USB mobo header? that worked for me, although my set came with 1.05 FW
Raven24
The USB lead wire only has a USB header plug in. There is no way to plug it into a USB port.
Toasted
You can use a mini USB B to type A cable as it is basically the same as the LINK USB cable.
Raven24
Thanks for the tip; but I'll have my new H100i tomorrow and hopefully won't need to order a mini B cable.
