P1ratRuleZZZ
I've just bought two http://www.corsair.com/memory-by-product-family/vengeance/vengeance-4gb-single-module-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz4gx3m1a1600c9.html One is ver.7.92 and the other is ver.3.24. The first is working nice, but the second won't let a computer start. What can I do? Bios Version 1101 MB: Asus P5Q3 CPU: Core2Quad Q9400 2.66 gHz
Synthohol
combining ram is not supported, suggested or recommended. all your ram on one motherboard needs to come from a single kit of the capacity you desire. see below.
P1ratRuleZZZ
I already knew it but didnt find kit of 2x4GB so I bought them separately. But the thing is that when I try to turn computer on with only one ram installed (ver.3.24) it dont start. But if I turn it on with only ver.7.92 installed -- it starts good. Is there anything to make the second working on my machine? Maybe increase voltage and etc.
Synthohol
being its a different version, try resetting the bios to defaults with the 3.24 ver and see if it boots
