Hi everyone, I'm about to build my first system, so am very new at this so apologies if there is an obvious answer to my question.

I'm looking at memory and totally lost to which one I need for my system

A) 1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, PC3200LLPT, Low Latency

B) 1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPT, Cas 2

C) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, Reg-PC3200C2PT, Cas 2

D) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, PC3200C2PRO, Cas 2, LED Activity Lights

E) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, PC3200LLPRO, LED Activity Lights

F) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPRO, LED Activity Lights

My system (so far)

MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum-54G

Athlon 64 FX-53 S939 1MB

Since you've got a Socket 939 mainboard, you don't want registered or ECC modules...

A) 1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, PC3200LLPT, Low Latency

Will work with 2-3-2-6 timings.

B) 1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPT, Cas 2

Will work with 2-2-2-5 timings.

C) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, Reg-PC3200C2PT, Cas 2

Will not work as it is registered memory!

D) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR, PC3200C2PRO, Cas 2, LED Activity Lights

Will work with 2.5-3-3-6 timings and look sweet with a windowed case.

E) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX, PC3200LLPRO, LED Activity Lights

Will work with 2-3-2-6 timings and look sweet with a windowed case.

F) 1 Gb (2 x 512Mb) Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPRO, LED Activity Lights

IMHO is the best option, best timings: 2-2-2-5, but has the LED's and better heat-spreaders. These modules are what I'm running and they're great.

Ok personally you are going to have the best system on the planet and I seriously don't think your going to be staring at the LEDs. Though they may be cool and all seriously you will look at them for maybe 2 weeks then stop looking at them. RAM is RAM is RAM. Ok cost wise the LEDs are going to cost you about an extra $40. When you are making a top of the line computer and you stick 2 twin packs in that machine thats gunna be an extra $80  you can spend somewhere else. Besides the "B) 1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPT, Cas 2" which has a platnium heat speader there is the CORSAIR XMS, Xtra-Low Latency 2-2-2-5, 184-Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 w/ Heat Spreader, Model TWINX1024-3200XL which has the black heat speader and costs about $10 more. I always thought the platnium speader was better but if the black speader is $10 more then maybe its better. I am going to build a similar system but let me know how yours turns out.
