iMac hibernation mode Error beeps

Hello everyone,

I have bought a Corsair SODIMM Kit for my Mid 2011 iMac.

Part number: CMSA8GX3M2A1333C9

The memory worked fine for a couple of months. When I don't use my iMac i leave it and after 15 minutes the iMac goes into hibernation mode.

Sometimes when I try to wake up my iMac the iMac makes a very loud beeping noise 3 times then a small pause and then it continues.

I don't know what those beeps mean, I have tried Memtest but when it completed the first run it gave no errors. When it continues to the second test run and I press ESC to exit the Memtest then allot of errors will fill up my screen.

Greetings from Holland,

Christiaan

Did you have a smaller amount of memory on your system previously if so you may need to delete and recreate the Hibernation file on the HDD. I would suggest resetting the PRAMN on your system and contact Apple on how to reset the Hibernation file.
