curlysir
Received my new H100i today from Newegg. FW 1.05 installed and had the PWM fans. Installation was fairly straight forward. System is up and running without any hiccups so far . The only thing I am not sure about is the recommended way to run the fans. There are 2 power leads with a splitter on each one. I am running 2 fans. Should I run the 2 fans on 1 lead using the splitter (currently running that way) or run each fan on a separate lead. The Link 2 software shows slightly different rpm for the 2 fans, is this normal? I am assuming that you can't control the 2 fans independent of one another using only 1 lead. The software is a little hard to figure out at first, Is there any documentation on it somewhere? So far I am very impressed with cooler. Replaced an H50 with it. Now to get some more fans and play with push/pull configuration any optimize my fan configuration :D: .
Toasted
Plug the 2 fans on to one splitter. The fans may be set to run at a different RPM, Click the fan and check if the fans are in the same mode. This blog post should help http://www.corsair.com/us/blog/corsair-link-v2-features-and-functionality/

They are set at the same mode. the difference is speed is small and probably just due to differences in the fans. Not enough to worry about. curlysir
Been running my new H100i for a few days now. It has actually got quieter since I first installed it. Guess the pump has gotten the air bubbles out, anyway. noise wise, it is comparable to the H50 it replaced. Cooling performance so far is very good. Real test won't come until the warmer weather hits, CPU temp doesn't vary as much so far as the H50 did. Jury is still out on the CorsairLink 2 software. It needs some work, It causes too many problems with the hard drives for me. I have the service set to manually start and only run the CorsairLink when I want to change the fan settings. This way I don't have any problems with removing external drives. Had a problem with the fan screws stripping, appears to be fairly common from what I read here. Overall I am pleased with the H100i, not perfect but very good. FYI, my H100i came with the 1.05 FW and new PWM fans.

Tetra123
I have a rma unit and also received the new fans, working well and even though I have overclocked my i7 980x its running at 51c on full load. The software is an issue, conflicts with my usb hub no matter what I do, not good.

Tetra123
Thks for the response. Sorry its 61 c under full load. What use is software that cannot even cope with something as simple as USB, when every other hardware/software I have had over the years has never been a problem with this usb hub. I have my printer, scanner etc attached to hub which due to location would now need to buy longer cables to plug directly into back of case and I only have 4 usb on back. I will find a workaround I hope but I really was not expecting so many things wrong with this cooler and looking at the number of people with issues its not just a case of they cannot cover every setup etc etc etc. The concept is good, but it is really poor work from Corsairs R&D department for an expensive cooler. The only savior at the moment is their good customer service and it seems to be a great product for keeping the temps down.
