Frozenoblivion
After 30 minutes of testing every component that might make a motor grinding noise, I concluded that the SP120L fans were the cause. The pump is fine and is near dead silent, but the SP120L fans, unless they are at 100% speed, they create this loud motor noise or a whine sometimes. Would Corsair replace them for free (as in I don't have to ship the old ones)? If I have to ship the current SP120L fans, I might as well just buy new fans. Toasted
Are they PWM or 3-pin? If they are 3-pin, request an RMA and ask for replacement PWM fans as that should fix the high pitched whine noise.
peanutz94
Would Corsair replace them for free (as in I don't have to ship the old ones)? Probably not! They would require the faulty ones back to ensure that you did indeed purchase these fans. Otherwise anyone could claim that they have bad fans just to get something for nothing. The noise from the fans is coming from the fact that they are 3 pin fans and don't work well with the Hseries coolers when plugged into the pump head. Try plugging them into the MB and I bet the noise is gone and that the fans are not actually faulty. Also follow Toasteds advice and request the new PWM fans for your cooler. They will get rid of the fan noise.

Beside, the tech support never asked to me any proof or invoice for any of my RMA request, even when they replace a product of mine without asking me to return the faulty one (like a cooling node recently). I've never seen another CS act like this.
