nobodyspecial97
Hey all, just wanted to know if there is any defined reason as to why the H100i does not get a true reading of the CPU Temp? I know that the software for the sabertooth series gets the temp pretty spot on. I wonder if there is a way to get the info from the AI suite II to register on behalf of the corsair software, to help with proper fan control on this cooler. Any ideas? I know this seems odd but For the Cadillac of your cooling devices it should be able to actually register this info just as well on one platform as another. It shows about a 10 degree C difference from what the bios or the native software shows IE: 26 degrees and the actual chip is about 36 degrees. Sometimes a little higher with full load. I got this cooler just for overclocking a little here and there and now it seems it may be moot due to the fact that it doesn't seem to monitor thermals properly. HOODedAssault
AI Suite shows socket temps. If I'm not mistaken Corsair Link probably shows core temps. Which is what matters. I MAY BE WRONG, CORSAIR REPS CORRECT ME IF I AM.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 25, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 25, 2013 HOODedAssault is correct, C Link reads core temp, actually, it reads average core temps depending on how many cores the CPU have. thus, it may not give out the same reading like other utilities that reads socket temp.
