Corsair Link, are these values normal?

the other utility I use for hardware monitoring is the CPUID HWMonitor. I havent had another BSOD since removing the IRST and the IMEC. If I get another BSOD I will post the info for it here :)

HWM uses the same monitoring code as CL4 as both use the CPUID SDK. I advise you to get a different utility.

well... it just gave the driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (Storport.sys) again. There is no mini dump file that I can find though and I even made sure to set it to show hidden files and system files. Also there is no intel rapid storage installed either.

The dump should be in C:\Windows\memory.dmp, take a copy of it and analyse it. How big is it once zipped?

I dont have CPUID HWMonitor running resident. I only use it to verify temps and fan speeds then I exit it. But you are saying that even if it isnt running it can be the problem? I also have CPUID CPU-Z, and GPU-Z as well... but none are running at the times of the BSODs. Would they all have to be uninstalled just to run CL4? I also have other apps installed (but not running) that can show fan speeds and temps like 3DMark and SISoft Sandra, EVGA OC Scanner X, and ASUS intel Extreme Tuning Utility. would I basically have to uninstall all my utilities just to be able to run one? Doesnt seem like buying the H100i was a good choice then :/ I have the H100i on a different PC and it hasnt caused a single crash and I have the CPUID software on it. The other system is an AMD FX-9590 and has no problems with the H100i v2 on it. Very disheartening, beginning to lose faith in Corsair products.

And on the dump file there isnt one, last time the BSOD happened it had a % on "gathered info" and it stayed on 0% until I reset the PC manually (I have it unchecked on the reboot on error so I could catch the error messages)

  • 1 month later...

Decided to try again to get the corsair link to work without crashing. I have removed all other system monitoring software with the exception of ASUS Intel Extreme Tuning software which does not load automatically on startup. I have it so it only opens when I launch it.

Wish me luck lol

2 and a half hours after installing the Corsair link software and hardware driver it crashed with Storport.sys and will not generate an error log. The BSOD sits and does nothing. I left it sit for 10 min and still at 0%.

I dont know what could be causing this. I have removed everything I can find that is a monitor of any kind with the exception of the ASUS Intel Extreme software and the Logitech Gaming software..... and the ASUS does not launch with Windows, and the Logitech Gaming software runs my keyboard and the mouse, it does have an option for ARX Control which is software on an Android that will display a readout of the system in use.

I removed the Windows support for Corsair hardware after the last BSOD, and another just happened. Its been 2 hours and 55 min. I left the software part of the installed files in as a test. Since the BSOD happened without the hardware drivers part I am at a total loss of ideas.

I'm going to call the tech support people tomorrow and see if there's any known issues they can find in my system. I'm hoping to not have to reinstall with a clean install as the next step in testing :/

:sigh!:
