Morinaka
Hello I've had a Corsair H50 on my Socket 775 CPU for over a year now but i'm upgrading my PC to a Socket 1155 CPU/motherboard, i know i can just use the 1156 holes so that's not the problem. I appear to have lost the little plastic clips that go in the retention ring that are for socket 1156/1366, from the quick start pdf http://www.corsair.com/en/media/cms/manual/h50_qsg.pdf i have Part F but need Part E. Is it possible to buy these from Corsair still? I live in England so was hoping they might have a UK distributor for these parts so i wouldn't have to wait ages for shipping from the USA. I feel like a bit of berk as i've kept the AMD retention rings and the quick start guides but not the clips :o: and it might delay my new build because of it. Alternatively can i use the clips from the socket 775? Looking at the quick start guides the difference in placement between 775 and 1155/1156 looks negligible to me. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
peanutz94
Yes, you can still buy them . They can be found here http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cooling-parts/hydro-series-retention-bracket-kit-for-hydro-series-h40-h50-and-h70-rev-2.html Alternatively can i use the clips from the socket 775? Looking at the quick start guides the difference in placement between 775 and 1155/1156 looks negligible to me. No, while it looks close it's totally different spacing. So you would ned those other clips.

Cretz
I would like to know as well. Couldn't part F just be rotated?

peanutz94
Ok, but can the plastic retention clips for the 775 be used for a 1150 board? No , the brackets used for the 1150 board are larger thanthe ones used by the 775 boards. You would need the updated mounting kit.

Sorry, I'm not talking about the brackets. I currently have the proper bracket for the 775/1133/1156 and ring. My version of the H50 came with extra parts, and one part that I'm missing is the plastic inserts for the 1133/1156. Since the bracket and retention ring are compatible and convertible between 1133/1156/775, can I use the plastic clips for the 775/AMD with the bracket set to 1156? Yellowbeard
Look inside the current inserts. Do they have 2 holes?
Cretz
Look inside the current inserts. Do they have 2 holes? No, it has one. I've a acknowledged it is the 775/AMD part. I want to know if it is possible to somehow use it with my 1150 motherboard and not pay $15 for four tiny pieces of plastic.
Yellowbeard
You may find someone on eBay that has not lost theirs and that is willing to sell them. Other than that, the only way to get them is to buy the kit from our store as recommended.
