Einzbern
Somewhat new to this, but I think I installed it correctly. My question is, do I need to use the SATA cable for power? Or am I fine just plugging it into the CPU fan slot? Reason I ask is my previous cooling system (IBP-Z001 I think) didn't have a SATA cable. peanutz94
You need both. The SATA connector is for the power and can be plugged into any spare sata connectio on your power supply. Or you could use a molex to sata adapter. The CPU-FAN connection is just so you can see what the pumps RPM's are in your BIOS. There is no power that comes through that lead. You will also need to plug the USB dongle into a USB2.0 header on your MB in order to use the software.
