lou parker
this is my second h100 cooler. The first was rma'd because it simply didn't work. THis one installed like a breeze except for one thing. Although the instructions didn't specifically show it, I assumed I plug one of 5v connections to the 5v plug to my power supply, and the other four pin connector to the cpu fan connector on my mb. The fans power up, but, the mb does not recognize anything. Of course I plugged the cooler fans into the cpu block. I tried turning off the cpu fan in the bios so that it is not recognized, but I get real high temps. What am I doing wrong?
lou parker
just to clarify I am getting a "no CPU fan detected" error at start up even though the fans are turning and the pump is connected to the cpu header and the 5v is connected. am I doing something wrong or is this rma number two? Toasted
If you get high temps and a CPU_FAN error, it sounds like the pump on the H100 is faulty. Contact customer service via phone and tell them your replacement unit has a faulty pump.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 22, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 22, 2013 Have you check your pump's speed in the BIOS? it should be running around 2200rpm
