Corsair CMPSU-850AXUK

Hi,

I have a weird problem with my PC:

When I turn the power on at the wall I have to wait for a while until I can see the lights go on my motherboard. This delay is getting loner and longer. When the lights finally go on I can power my PC on and everything works perfectly.

This happened to my previous PSU and I claimed the warranty on it and got refunded I then bought the Corsair CMPSU-850AXUK PSU. The exact same problem is happening at only around 1 year old.

I'm wondering what is causing this? Seems very strange that it has happened to both of them, with the exact same symptoms. Both of them high end units.

Can you think of anything? Could it be something I'm doing?

I don't know how much time I've got left before it stops working totally like the last time...

Thanks.

I could be anything from a bad MB to the wiring in your house, to just pure coincidence.

At any reate , i would have it replaced via RMA.

Just use the link on the left to get you RMA started.

Also as per forum rules, you need to allow 24hrs or so before someone from Corsair will

answer you. And they are also closed on the weekends. So you probably wont hear anything until at least Monday.

I can't even email Corsair because they don't have one.

Of course they have an email...

If this issue was present using the previous PSU and it its happening again, then it is highly unlikely a PSU issue.. but I wouldn't completely rule it out. I would suggest looking into your MB, contact the maker and see if this something they have seen before. I would also test the PSU on a different system and see if you get the same behavior, just to make sure its not system dependent.
