BL888
Hi there I am looking to purchase the H80i for my i5 3570k build. I will be looking to upgrade to the new Haswelll I7 cpu when it is out in a few months. Can someone confirm whether the H80i will be compatible with the new Haswell CPU? if not, then i will hold off from purchasing the H80i. Thanks B
peanutz94
I can't say for sure, but i would think if the mounting was different from the current 1155 or 1156 brackets they would make an updated mounting kit. Seeing that Haswell is slated for June and these coolers just released a few months ago ,i would bet they already have it covered. EDIT: I found this too! Based on the supposed leak of an Intel document, cooling systems for LGA 1155 and LGA 1156 sockets are compatible with LGA 1150, due to them having the same distance of 75 mm between each screw hole, however Intel has not confirmed this.[3] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1150
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 19, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 19, 2013 No official answer at this point, but once Intel confirms that 1150 (Haswell) is the same socket as 1155/1156 physically, only then we can release our own statement.
