nigelno1
Just received and built a new PC with this PSU. All woking fine but ran the windows experience test and heard some aweful squeaking and squealing nosies, mainly during the graphics tests. It would stop and start specifically with each test. Can hear the noise during basic use such as web browsing and scrolling although fairly quiet. When playing a game however it is much loader. Its definately the PSU as I disconnected my 7870 GPU to use just intergrated graphics and the noise remained. I have submitted an RMA and just waiting to hear back. Does anyone know whether they give the option to receive a replacement first then send faulty one back?

Souns like normal coil whine which is not uncommon, but totally harmless...except for your ears! :P At any rate what you are asking for is an Advanced RMA . You will need to call CS on Monday with your case or RMA number and have them set that up for you. They can not be arranged here on the forums for CC security reasons. I setup an advanced RMA with Corsair (I had to Skype them to arrange it) and they're sending a replacement first. It's worth noting you need to give them your credit card details in order to do this. nigelno1
Yeah just like that. Can't ignore it! I'll give them a call to complete an advanced RMA. Thanks for the replies.
