frogl
Hello. I recieved my Corsair M65 today and so far I am really liking it. Though I have one small problem, which isn't that much of a problem really, but a bit annoying. When I scroll the wheel back it is smooth and perfect, but when scrolling it forward there is a clicking sound. I am scrolling back and forward very lightly and not pushing the scroll wheel down at all. It's not only the clicking sound that's annoying, the click also creates a small vibration so that I can feel it. I'm not sure if something like this is covered by warranty? Is there something I might be able to do about it? I do not feel like sending it away already.. I also tried attaching a 3MB zip file containing a small video where you can clearly hear the sound, but I got an error saying that the service was unavailable. I assume the filetype isn't supported. I might be able to upload it to youtube or similar if needed. Thank you in advance.

frogl
Also my left and right button doesn't have the same feel to them, the don't sound the same and the right button feels more, not sure how to explain it, spongy. The left button is firm and sits where it should, whereas the right can be moved up and down a lot more without registering the click.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 19, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 19, 2013 The noise on the scroll wheel is normal Frogl as thats part of the feedback it provides when you scroll. However, both mouse buttons should feel exactly the same so if theres extra play on the right one, we can replace the mouse for you with a RMA. Request one on the left and let me know your case number.
cesterline
I too have just received my new M65 in the mail (this afternoon in fact) and have the very same feedback as the OP of this thread. The physical feedback provided by the mouse-wheel, when pushing the wheel forward, is noisy and vibrates(slightly) the mouse housing. However when pulling the mouse-wheel backwards the wheel sounds and feels as I would expect (smooth).
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 24, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 24, 2013 See if your retailer will exchange it for you. If not, you can put in a RMA request and we'll do so for you instead.
