sjc
I'm nearly finished with my first build and was plugging in the power connectors when I noticed the 8 pin ATX 12V power connector from the PSU doesn't have the same "configuration" of square/beveled plugs as the motherboard connector (ASUS P8Z77-V LX). Four of the 8 plugs seem to have the same configuration so I'm not sure if I should be using only four of the 8 plugs. The 24 pin ATX Power plug inserted into the MB connector just fine. Thank you for your assistance.
peanutz94
It's supposed to be that way. The rounded plugs will go into the square holes. As long as you are sure you have the correct cable just plug it in and if your board has an 8 pin connector you use both of the four plugged connetors. sjc
Thank you, yes, the motherboard has the 8 pin connector and the Corsair TX650's ATX12V connector is a single 8 pin. I thought that the beveled plugs would fit the square holes but just wanted to be sure!
